Una Canzone, una band – Tool

I Tool sono una band statunitense formatasi nel 1990. Sono una delle “anomalie” della musica attuale, perchè senza troppa pubblicità o alternative marketing riescono ad essere la band alternative più popolare e seguita del mondo.

Il disco d’esordio Undertow del 1994 diventa un successo quasi subito, grazie a pezzi come Sober ed al sound innovativo e fuori dagli schemi in voga di quel periodo.

La conferma del valore dei Tool arriva con il successivo AEnima del 1996, ma la consacrazione definitiva arriva con Lateralus che arriva a vendere circa 10 milioni di copie, cifra mai raggiunta e difficilmente eguagliabile per un genere “di nicchia” come il loro.

Successivamente parte del gruppo si dedica al progetto A Perfect Circle, e nel 2006 arriva 10,000 Days, che si piazza in top 5 in 25 paesi.
